Cambodian PM Praises Active Role of Outgoing Ambassador of Sri Lanka

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has appreciated the active contribution of H.E. Ms. Colonne Appuhamilage Chaminda Inoka Colonne, outgoing Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Cambodia, to the strengthening and expansion of diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two countries.

In their farewell meeting at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that both nations still have a lot of potential to tighten their cooperation, particularly in the areas of economy, trade, culture, and tourism.

The Premier affirmed that all relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government of Cambodia are ready to work closely with the new Sri Lankan ambassador.

For her part, H.E. Ms. Colonne Appuhamilage Chaminda Inoka Colonne recalled her efforts in contributing to fostering the relations and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, tourism and visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and offic
ial passports.

The outgoing diplomat also pledged to continue to help promote Cambodia’s potential to the people of Sri Lanka.
