Phnom Penh municipal administration has ordered the temporary shutdown of Olympic trade centre located in Sangkat Olympic, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, Phnom Penh to contain and prevent the COVID-19 spread.
The measure to come into force from July 3 to 16, 2021 was taken after new COVID-19 cases have been detected on the market’s staff-workers and vendors, said the municipal administration in a directive released this afternoon.
All staff-workers, vendors, customers and other relevant people are appealed to be tested for the coronavirus and to conduct proper quarantine in accordance to the Ministry of Health’s guidelines, it added.
During this temporary closure, all entries and exits and gatherings in Olympic trade centre are banned, but with some exceptions.
This is the second state market ordered for temporary shutdown. The first one is Boeung Keng Kang Market in Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang 1, Khan Boeung Keng Kang which has been closed since June 29 for two weeks for the same reason.
