In his capacity as the Special Envoy (SE) of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar, H.E. PRAK Sokhonn will lead a delegation to pay a second working visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from June 29 to July 3.

H.E. PRAK Sokhonn, also Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will be accompanied by H.E. Ekkaphab PHANTHAVONG, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC), and a number of senior government officials, as well as staff from the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC).

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued this afternoon, the second visit of the Special Envoy to Myanmar aims to follow up on the progress of the implementation of the Five-Point Consensus and of the outcomes of the Consultative Meeting on ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar, which was held on May 6, 2022 in Phnom Penh, as well as to contribute to building an environment conducive to an inclusive political dialogue through the meetings with all parties concerned.
