1.4 Million Foreign Tourists Visited Angkor Archaeological Park in First 7 Months

Nearly 1.4 million international tourists visited Angkor Archaeological Park during the first seven months of this year, according to a recent press release from Angkor Enterprise.

National income generated from the selling of entrance tickets for the visitors during the mentioned period was about US$62.3 million � down by 10.56 percent compared to the same period last year.

Of the income, US$2.78 million was allocated to Kantha Bopha Foundation to support the operation of the Kantha Bopha children's hospitals.

According to the same source, in July alone selling of the entrance tickets was valued around US$6.58 million.
