10 Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs Attends ASEAN Women’s Business Conference in the Philippines

A delegation of Cambodia Women Entrepreneur Association (CWEA) has been attending the ASEAN Women's Business Conference, taking place from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 in Manila, the Philippines.

The 20-member delegation was led by Mrs. Keo Mom, President of CWEA and Mrs. Soth Sithon, Director of Economic Development at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

On the occasion, 10 outstanding Cambodian women entrepreneurs will receive the ASEAN Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs Award (AOWEA) in acknowledgment of their contribution to social and economic development, local community development, especially to women empowering and gender promotion, Mrs. Keo Mom told reporters before her departure for the conference.

She added that the CWEA delegation will also discuss and share experience with their counterparts from other ASEAN countries on business, trade as well as women-related issues.

Besides, they will witness the official recognition of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network that will officially join the Joint Business Councils meeting of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC).
