100 New Buses Received from China

Phnom Penh authority has officially received 100 new buses from China to scale up the capital's public transportation service.

The handover ceremony that took place yesterday afternoon at Koh Pich (Diamond Island) Convention and Exhibition Centre, Phnom Penh was jointly presided by the Municipal Governor H.E. Khuong Sreng and Mr. Tan Qingsheng, Charge d'Affaires of Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.

According to H.E. Khuong Sreng, the 100 buses covered by the grant aid of China to Cambodia symbolised another good cooperation between the two friends.

With the new buses, he added, Phnom Penh authority will introduce five other bus transport lines in the capital shortly.

Phnom Penh has currently three bus transport lines operated by 57 buses � serving between 6,500 and 7,000 passengers every day.
