166 Students Join 1st Cambodia-China “Gen Z” Student Vlog

As of June 16, 166 Cambodian and Chinese students have registered for the 1st Cambodia-China “Gen Z” Student Vlog.

The event began on May 15 under the collaboration between Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and Cambodia-China Friendship Radio of the China’s Central TV and Radio General Station.

Participants can be from any education institutions including Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and BFSU, and are divided into 59 groups.

Prof. Dr. Gu Jiayun, Vice Dean of School of Asian and African Studies, and Director of Khmer Study Centre of BFSU, underlined that the competition will not only help develop the capacity of Cambodian and Chinese students, but also provide them an opportunity to understand each other, especially on life and study at university.

The event will also contribute significantly to building Cambodia-China community of common destiny, he added.

Video clips have become one of popular and effective means for young people to share message online, stressed Ms. Arun, Director General of Cambodia-China Friendship Radio.

She pledged to introduce more events to further promote the cultural exchange between the two nations to be a strong movement to advance Cambodia-China relations in new era.
