GIG is delighted to partner with Shell Energy to deliver this project which will help provide communities with reliable and flexible energy,” said Greg Callman, Global Head of Energy Technology, GIG.

Located in one of Melbourne’s fastest-growing population centres, the Rangebank BESS will help Victoria reach its renewable energy target of 50 percent by 2030, while also providing essential system services to support the safe, secure, and reliable operation of Australia’s power grid. The project is fully committed and will connect to existing network infrastructure to support the transition to renewable energy. In 2021, Fluence was awarded to deliver Macquarie GIG and Engie’s 150 MW / 150 MWh Hazelwood Battery.

SEA Games: PM Hopes Cambodian Athletes to Win Double Medals

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen expressed his hope that the Cambodian athletes will get better performances compared to the previous games in other countries.

Speaking at 5th get-together with more than 4,000 sports leaders, coaches and national athletes at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre here this evening, Samdech Techo Hun Sen appealed to the athletes to train harder and put all efforts to win double medals as the host of the games.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister said the competitions will be hard as there will be more than 12,000 athletes from 10 other countries, but Cambodia is the host, so we have to try harder.

Cambodia is going to organise the 32nd SEA Games from May 5 to 17, and the 12th ASEAN Para Games from June 3 to 9, 2023.

In the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam, Cambodian athletes won in total 63 medals, including 9 gold, 13 silver, and 41 bronze. Cambodia ranked 8th among 11 participating nations.

PM: COVID-19 Is a Deadly Disease, but Helps Strengthening Health Sector

COVID-19 is a deadly disease that everyone is afraid of, anyway it is an opportunity for Cambodia to strengthen its capacity in the health sector.

The remarks were made by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen while he and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. UENO Atsushi were presiding over the inauguration ceremony of two new buildings of Kroch Chmar Referral Hospital in Thbong Khmum province this morning.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said before there were only about 5,000 hospital beds in Phnom Penh capital, but now just a hospital that had been inaugurated recently can have up to 10,000 beds.

“Before COVID- 19, oxygen production facilities existed only in Phnom Penh, but now, especially since the COVID-19 outbreak, some hospitals have their own oxygen production and supply facilities,” he underlined.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister added that this is a preparation in response to future health risks and challenges.
