With the cooperation of the Royal University of Phnom Penh, 21 Cambodian youths and the University students who are majoring or interested in media or journalism are going to visit Japan from Dec. 4 to 12, 2017, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan under the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth) 2017.
According to a press release of the Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh, the participants will visit newspaper and broadcasting companies, and exchange views with graduate university students who are studying media in Hokkaido prefecture. They will also have an opportunity to visit historical landmarks.
The JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and other participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. Through the programme, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited more than 2,000 Cambodian youths since 2007.
