24 Cambodian Students To Be Selected to Join “JENESYS 2017?

The Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC), is going to conduct a selection of participants for a youth exchange programme JENESYS 2017? to be held from Jan. 15 to 23, 2018 in Japan.

According to an announcement of the embassy released this afternoon, through the competition of the group presentation, 24 third-year students from different universities in Cambodia regardless of their major subject will be selected.

Every third-year student, who is willing to join the programme, is able to submit the application in group of 4 students until Sept. 7, 2017. On Sept. 28, the embassy will announce the selected 48 students (12 groups) for the final selection on Oct. 5, at CJCC. The final selection will be competed by the uniqueness, attractiveness and team-work of each group presentation under the theme of My Best Cambodia in Khmer.

The JENESYS is a youth exchange programme organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. Through the programme, the ministry has invited more than 2,000 Cambodian youths since 2007.
