Three pre-owned luxury cars from South Korea, declared as used truck replacement spare parts, were seized by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) here recently. Subic Customs officials said the vehicles - a BMW 735 IL, a Chrysler and an Audi -were consigned to a certain Jinseok Jeong with address in New Cabalan, Olongapo City. The cars, which value was placed at no less than P3 million, arrived from Busan, South Korea on March 10 aboard the container ship Bomar Spring. The cargo was initially declared as 52 packages of used truck replacement spare parts. Customs officials said the consignee would be charged with violation of section 503 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines in relation to EO 156.
