500 Cambodian Tourism Professionals Registered at ASEAN Headquarters

Cambodia has registered 500 tourism professionals at the ASEAN headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia, to be able to work in the ASEAN region, according to a senior tourism official.

H.E. Thong Khon, Cambodian Minister of Tourism, has recently announced that not only Cambodia, but also other ASEAN member countries have each sent a list of professionals, through a regional agreement between their leaders.

These registered professionals can work in any ASEAN country, added the minister, emphasising that each country can accept professionals from other countries, only 10 percent of the human resources it needs.

ASEAN or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations is composed of ten members � Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
