5th Youth Arts Festival Launched

Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts has organised the 5th Youth Arts Festival themed Youth for National Culture here in Phnom Penh.

The event was opened yesterday under the presidency of Minister of Culture and Fine Arts H.E. Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona.

Addressing the function, H.E. Ms. Phoeurng Sakona underlined that the event intends to promote knowledge, enhance dissemination of Cambodian culture as well as to allow forum for artists, youths and students to showcase their capacity and talent.

The minister symbolised the arts festival as a school that can provide extensive knowledge and experience for learners.

The topic selected, continued H.E. Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona, means to prevent younger generations of Cambodians from influences of harmful inflow practices and encourage their attention to preserving national culture.

She also took the opportunity to urge Cambodian youths, students and artists to further build up their capacity and join hands to overcome challenges in promoting national culture.
