A Coastal Province Attracts Almost 250,000 Tourists in First Semester

Preah Sihanouk, a coastal province of Cambodia, some 230 kilometres southwest of Phnom Penh capital, received nearly 250,000 visitors in the first semester of this year, up 10.60 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Tourism's news release.

The number of Chinese arrivals is dramatically increased. In the first six months of this year, Preah Sihanouk attracted a total of 58,943 Chinese tourists, up 132.43 percent over the same period in 2016, it said.

Preah Sihanouk is one of the four coastal provinces and a major tourist destination of Cambodia.
