A Luxury Hotel Development Company Eyes an Eco Resort in Siem Reap

SONG SAA Collective, the developer of Song Saa island in Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province, is eying an international eco-resort on an area of over 400 hectares in the Banteay Srei district of Siem Reap province, according to the Ministry of Environment’s news release.

This company is planning an initial investment capital of more than US$3 million to build bungalows close to a natural lake where visitors can see birds, fish, and other natural resources there, it pointed out.

Villas, meditation, religious and entertainment centres, schools, are also part of the project, it added.

H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment, paid an inspection visit to the investment area late last week, during which he expressed his strong to support this project which, he said, will generate jobs for local people without affecting the environment, but contributing to the protection and conservation of natural resources and national culture.

SONG SAA Collective launched Song Saa Private Island in 2012 and pioneered conservation-based luxury tourism in Cambodia’s Koh Rong Archipelago.
