The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved a new garment factory project with an investment capital of US$5.8 million.
The new garment factory will be built in Trapeang Plou village, O’ Saray commune, Tram Kâk district, Takeo province, the CDC pointed out in a press release issued last weekend.
The newly approved project, which belongs to Concept Creator Fashion (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., is expected to generate 1,441 jobs for the locals, it added.
Such investment demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability as the country is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
