Acting Senate President Receives French Senator H.E. Vincent Eble

H.E. Nai Pena, Acting President of the Senate of Cambodia, received a visiting French delegation led by Senator H.E. Vincent Eble, here at the Senate Palace on Wednesday.

During the meeting, H.E. Vincent Eble, also President of French-Cambodian Friendship Association, said the purpose of his visit in the Kingdom is to attend the celebration of International Francophnonie Day.

H.E. Nai Pena expressed warm welcome to H.E. Vincent Eble and spoke highly the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, mainly in trade exchange, tourism, and investment sectors. He also thanked the Government of France for its technical and financial assistance to Cambodia’s fields of culture, banking, tourism, education, national defence, rural development, vocational training, energy, clean water, and so on.

Moreover, the acting senate president expressed his gratitude to the French Senate for experience sharing and support to the capacity building of officials at the Senate General Secretariat, and requested H.E. Vincent Eble to convince more French investors and tourists to Cambodia.

France has invested some US$ 354.61 million in Cambodia from 1994 to 2016, especially in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, industry and tourism.
