Agreement for New Harbour in Kampot Inked

Thanks to on-going rapid development of Kampot, an agreement has been inked to establish container port and harbour in the province.

Kampot Port Co., Ltd. and CRCC Harbour and Channel Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. co-signed the agreement recently in the presence of Kampot Provincial Governor H.E. Cheav Tay and H.E. Suong Heng, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

H.E. Cheav Tay spoke highly of remarkable progress of his province, especially in the areas of agro-industry, hospitality and tourism, electrical power, as well as sea transportation.

By far, he added, the province has five harbours actively contributing to high economic performance of Cambodia.

The planned container port and harbour of 14 metres deep coast will sit in Boeung Touk and Koh Toch commune of Teuk Chhou district of Kampot province.
