Angkor Temples’ Life Saving Income for First 11 Months

World heritage Angkor temples have earned Cambodia US95,661,241 income for the first eleven months of 2017 the amount that contributes to saving lives, according to a recent report of the Angkor Enterprise.

The mentioned revenue, suggesting an increase by 12 percent if compared with that of the same period last year, derived from the sale of entrance tickets to 2,189,804 foreigners visiting the Angkor archaeological site.

Since February this year, US$2 from each ticket sale has been used to finance the operation of Kantha Bopha Children's Hospitals saving thousands of Cambodian children's lives annually.

According to the calculation by Angkor Enterprise a government unit in charge of the income and redistribution Kantha Bopha Foundation has received US$3,805,526 to date from the sale of the Angkor entrance tickets.
