Angkor Wat Entrance Ticket Sales Will Be Available Online Soon

The Royal Government of Cambodia approved here yesterday to sell the Angkor entrance tickets online and payment can be made by credit card.

The approval was made in a Board Meeting of Angkor Institution chaired by H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth, Senior Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, according to the Ministry of Tourism's news release.

Last year, Angkor Institution, the state-owned agency in charge of Angkor income management, collected in total US$62.57 million as income from Angkor entrance ticket sales, a year-on-year increase of 4.21 percent, and some US$29.9 million in the first quarter of this year, up 51.6 percent compared to the same period of 2016.

Since Feb. 1, 2017, the entrance fees for the Angkor temples are one-day pass for US$37, three-day pass for US$62, and seven-day pass for US$72. US$2 from each ticket sold is donated to the Kantha Bopha Children's Hospitals in support of their mission of providing free treatment to Cambodian children.
