Leaders of ASEAN member countries, including Brunei Darussalam, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam have extended their condolences to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, over the passing of his elder brother, Samdech Oudom Tep Nhean Hun Neng.
In their separate messages, the ASEAN leaders said they were saddened to learn about the loss of Samdech Oudom Tep Nhean Hun Neng and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
They also spoke highly of late Samdech Oudom Tep Nhean Hun Neng’s contribution to the reconstruction and development of Cambodia.
They said their thoughts are with Samdech Techo Prime Minister and his family members during this time of grief.
Samdech Oudom Tep Nhean Hun Neng, a Member of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Commission on Interior, National Defence and Civil Service, and a Lawmaker for Kampong Cham provincial constituency, passed away on May 5 at the age of 72 years old.
