Assam State of India Expects Cambodian Tourism Delegation in Global Investors Summit 2018

AKP Phnom Penh, The north-eastern Assam state of the Republic of India anticipates Cambodia's tourism delegation to attend global investors summit and international exposition in the country.

The state's Honourable Minister of Environment and Forest H.E. Ms. Pramila Rani Brahma made the invitation to the said event when received recently by the Cambodia minister at his office here in Phnom Penh.

The honourable minister also encouraged the showcasing of Cambodian cultural performances during the event that will fall in February 2018 in India.

Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon responded positively to the invitation and saw it as an opportunity to boost direct tourism cooperation between Cambodia and Assam state.

He also proposed that a tourism technical cooperation between Cambodia and the state should be formalised to enable exposure and learning exchanges, direct flights and beyond.

According to the figure from the Ministry of Tourism, Indian visitors to Cambodia rose by 20 percent during the first ten months of this year, comparing with the same period in 2016.
