Battambang Swimming Centre was inaugurated under the presidency of Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
According to H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport and President of Khmer Swimming Federation (KSF), the centre will further develop Cambodia’s sports for international competitions, especially the SEA Games 2023 hosted by Cambodia.
Located at the National University of Battambang’s compound in Battambang city, the centre cost over US$2 million.
The centre stretches over 112 metres by 65 metres land surface, and has pools for competition and jumping, muscle swimming pool, diving tower and underground pool.
Besides, it also accommodates visiting place, multi-purpose building, parking area, athlete rooms, meeting rooms and beyond.
