Cambodia and South Korea to Further Cooperation

Cambodia and the Republic of Korea have appreciated each other and reiterated further cooperation for mutual benefit.

The positive spirit happened recently when Cambodian National Assembly's President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin received newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cambodia H.E. Oh Nak-young at his office here in Phnom Penh.

The new South Korean diplomat spoke highly fast-growing friendship between the governments and peoples of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea.

He also requested Cambodia to support South Korea's Southeast Asia policy that will further promote the country's relationship with the region as well as Cambodia.

For his part, Samdech Heng Samrin warmly welcomed the Korean diplomat's mission in Cambodia, hoping that it will continue enhancing bilateral cooperation, and encourage the Korean government to increase quota for Cambodian migrant workers in Korea.

The NA president expressed his acknowledgement of South Korea's contribution to Cambodia's development in various sectors, particularly physical infrastructure, health, rural development.
