Cambodia and the U.S. Vow to Continue Bilateral Trade Promotion

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the United States of America have been committed to continuing their bilateral trade cooperation and promotion.
The commitment was made by H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, and visiting Ambassador Katherine Tai, United States Trade Representative, in their meeting in Siem Reap province on Monday, on the sidelines of the 54th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings hosted by Cambodia from Sept. 11 to 18.
The meeting aimed to strengthen trade cooperation between Cambodia and the U.S., as well as the bilateral cooperation in key areas, especially digital economy, which is being implemented under the Cambodia-U.S. Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA).
On the occasion, H.E. Pan Sorasak expressed his gratitude to the U.S. government and people for their support for Cambodia, particularly for their donation of over 3 million doses of Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines, through COVAX Facility, UNICEF and WHO.
For her part, Ambassador Katherine Tai thanked the Royal Government and people of Cambodia, especially H.E. Minister for their warm hospitality and coordination for the success of the ASEAN-U.S. consultation.
