Cambodia Attends an Environmental Forum in Japan

A Cambodian delegation led by H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Secretary of State for Environment, has attended the Asia-Europe Environment Forum's Annual Conference 2019 in Yokohama, Japan.

According to the Ministry of Environment's news release, this two-day event, organised by the Ministry of Environment of Japan in cooperation with Asia-Europe Foundation, Institute of Global Environmental Strategies, Hanns Seidel Foundation and ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Centre, attracted 250 participants from 50 institutions around the world.

On behalf of Cambodia, H.E. Eang Sophalleth delivered a keynote address at the opening session of the forum held yesterday under the theme The Role of Consumers in Triggering Changes in Consumption and Production.

The secretary of state also shared the Royal Government's commitment and progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
