Cambodia Attends the Opening of China Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo 2017

Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon attended and delivered a keynote address at the China Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo 2017 held in Xi’an city of Chinese Shaanxi province late last week, said a news release from the Ministry of Tourism.

This event, taking place from Aug. 4-6, 2017, attracted delegates from 32 countries along the Silk Road, pointed out the same source, adding that the Cambodian delegation, led by H.E. Thong Khon, was composed of officials from the Ministry of Tourism, an art troupe from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, and representatives of 17 tour companies.

On the occasion, it said, H.E. Thong Khon underlined Cambodia’s support and participation in the Belt and Road strategy and affirmed the Kingdom’s readiness to welcome the Chinese tourists.

Earlier on the same day, H.E. Thong Khon held talks with H.E. Hu Heping, Governor of Shaanxi province, during which both sides agreed to boost the direct and regular flights between Xi’an and Cambodia and supported different investment projects in tourism sector of Xi’an investors in Cambodia.
