Cambodia Attracts 1,020 Construction Projects in First 4 Months

From January to April this year, Cambodia has attracted 1,020 construction projects of more than 5.60 million square metres, said a report of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

These projects are worth some US$4.02 billion, up 43.37 percent compared to the same period in the previous year, it added.

In the first four months of last year, only 712 projects of 5.93 million square metres received green light from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

According to the report, from 2003 to the end of April 2017, Cambodia has in total 147 satellite cities and Borei and 901 buildings of more than five floors.

Since 2000, there were 304 construction projects of over 13.2 million square metres invested by foreign investors from 18 countries.

A total of 1,011 construction and architecture firms have been registered at the ministry.
