Cambodia Attracts 2.4 Million Foreign Tourists in the First Semester

Some 2.4 million foreign tourists visited Cambodia in the first semester of this year, up 2.7 percent compared with the same period last year.

Vietnamese tourists were on the lead among international visitors to Cambodia, followed by Chinese tourists, Mr. Kong Sopheareak, a tourism official, was quoted as saying by local media.

The current of tourists in the region is still normal despite low season and fear of terrorism attacks, he added.

In 2015, Cambodia welcomed about 4.8 million foreign tourists, and this year the country is expected to attract some 5 million foreign visitors.
