Cambodia Bans Breast Milk Export

The Royal Government of Cambodia has ordered the ban of breast milk export from the country to the U.S., according to an official letter signed by H.E. Ngor Hongly, Secretary of State at the Office of the Council of Ministers dated Mar. 28.

This letter advised the Ministry of Health to take action to immediately prevent the collection and export of human breast milk from Cambodia.

“Cambodia is not that poor to sell breast milk from mothers,” the letter underlined.

This letter was issued after the Ministry of Health asked for a decision from the royal government over the export of human breast milk from Cambodia to the U.S. by Ambrosia Labs Co. Ltd.
