Cambodia Breaks Ground for New Royal University of Fine Arts at Chroy Changvar Development Area

The construction of new Royal University of Fine Arts (RUFA) at Chroy Changvar development area, Phnom Penh began last Sunday with Krong Peali ceremony.

Minister of Culture and Fine Arts H.E. Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona and Phnom Penh Municipal Governor H.E. Pa Socheatevong presided over the event.

The groundbreaking ceremony coincided with the 100th founding anniversary of RUFA.

Located on an area of 47,000 square metre, the four-storey building would cost some US$12 million funded by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

RUFA plays a crucial role in upholding and increasing the efficiency of education on national cultural sector.
