Cambodia Calls for More Foreign Investments from America

Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak has requested the United States of America to invest more in Cambodian industry, tourism, infrastructure, energy, environment and agriculture.

This request was made known in a recent news release from the ministry, highlighting the talks between H.E. Minister and H.E. Doug Ericksen and Mr. Jay Rodne, a Senator and a Lieutenant Colonel of the Washington State, respectively.

According to H.E. Minister, Cambodia possesses the best investment policy in the region, i.e. Cambodia allows foreign investors to operate their business in all fields and own 100 percent of share and profit without a need to partner with local businessmen, and the country also applies tax exemption on all imports of heavy machinery for agricultural investment.

H.E. Pan Sorasak also touched on the Royal Government's vision and the Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 aiming to increase skills and diversify manufacturing goods to foster economic growth in the country.

The American side expressed thanks to the minister for sharing the information and pledged to channel that to American business communities.
