Cambodia-China Friendship Thbong Khmum Hospital Construction to Complete in 2021

The construction of the nearly-US$50 million Cambodia-China Friendship Thbong Khmum Hospital is due to complete in September 2021, H.E Dr. Cheam Chansophorn, Governor of Thbong Khmum province told a press conference organised here this morning by the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit.
Located on an area of 24,300 square metres, the 300-bed hospital will be equipped with up-to-date medical equipment.
The ground-breaking ceremony for the hospital’s construction took place in March 2019 under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Wang Wentian.
Once finished, the Cambodia-China Friendship Thbong Khmum Hospital will become a regional hospital serving the people of Kratie, Rattanakiri, Stung Treng, and Mondulkiri provinces.
This is the second big project funded by the Government of China after Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital in Phnom Penh whose groundbreaking ceremony took place in October 2018
