Cambodia Deports Over 11,000 Undocumented Immigrants between 2014 and 2016

Cambodia deported more than 11,000 undocumented immigrants during the last three years, according to a recent report from the General Department of Immigration, Ministry of Interior.

The undocumented immigrants - 11,661 to be exact and 1,933 are female - came from 72 countries to illegally work and live in the capital and provinces of Cambodia.

About 83 percent or 9,777 of the undocumented immigrants deported between 2014 and 2016 are from Vietnam.

2015 was the year with highest number of undocumented immigrant deportation, 6,978 - following by 2016 of 3,376 and 2014 of 1,307.
