Cambodia Donates US$100,000 as Humanitarian Aid to Laos

The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has donated US$100,000 as humanitarian aid to Laos for the victims of the recent collapse of the Xepien-Xenamnoy hydropower dam in the Lao province of Attapeu province.

The handover ceremony was held in Phnom Penh yesterday. The Cambodian side was represented by Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Ouch Borith while the Lao side by its Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Prasith Sayasith.

Cambodian leaders, including Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn, have sent their respective messages to their Lao counterparts, expressing their deepest sympathies and sincere condolences for the huge loss in this tragic incident.
