Cambodia Earns 17 Medals from 29th SEA Games in Malaysia

Cambodia has so far won a total of 17 medals � 3 gold, 2 silver, and 12 bronze medals � from the 29th SEA Games being held in Kualar Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Kingdom thus ranks 8 out of 11 participating countries, according to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia.

The latest Cambodian gold medalist is Sorn Seavmey, who got an Asian Games gold medal in Taekwondo in 2014. The other gold medalists are Kun Khmer Boxer Khim Dima, and petanque players, Ke Leng and Ouk Sreymom, who won Women’s Doubles Final last week.

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in a Facebook post this afternoon expressed his congratulations to the gold medalists for their success, and wished more success to other Cambodian athletes in other sports events at the 29th SEA Games.
