Cambodia Expects US$ 1,421 Million Tax Income in 2016

Cambodia is projected to generate a total of US$ 1,421 million tax income this year.

The projection was highlighted by H.E Kong Vibol, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia, in charge as General Director of the General Department of Taxation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, during a recent meeting with private companies, organized by Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.

Tax income, added H.E. Kong Vibol, increased gradually from 2009 to 2011. Between 2012 and 2015, the income rose beyond target by 12 per ceny in average.

Current tax income is equivalent to approximately 18 per cent of Cambodia’s Gross Domestic Product.
