Cambodia Exports 30 Percent of Textile Products to U.S.

Cambodia exported about 30 percent of its textile products to the United States of America despite the COVID-19 crisis.
The update was shared by H.E. W. Patrick Murphy, U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia during a meeting with H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training here in Phnom Penh on Mar. 7.
It was a large volume compared to the amount of export among other countries during the crisis, said the U.S. Ambassador, adding that it reflected the good cooperation between the two countries.
H.E. Ith Samheng spoke highly of H.E. W. Patrick Murphy for his effort in fostering Cambodia-U.S. cooperation, including work-issue resolution.
The two sides pledged to continue cooperation on the protection and implementation of rights and freedom to secure a conducive working environment for Cambodian workers and the employers.
