Cambodia Extends Condolences over Sri Lanka Bombings

Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has made public a statement expressing the Kingdom’s deepest condolences on the horrible attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka yesterday.

The Royal Government and people of Cambodia express heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Sri Lanka, especially the bereaved families of those who lost their lives in the despicable bombing attacks in Sri Lanka on April 21, 2019, said the statement.

The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) condemns in the strongest term this senseless and deplorable act of violence, underlined the statement, adding that the RGC is firmly committed to the fight against terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations.

The Royal Government and people of Cambodia stands in solidarity with the Government and people of Sri Lanka at this difficult moment and pray for speedy recovery of the injured victims, said the statement released yesterday.

Sri Lanka was rocked on Sunday by a series of devastating bombings targeting Christian churches and hotels, claiming hundreds of lives and injuring several hundreds of victims.
