The Kingdom of Cambodia and the French Republic have signed a Joint Declaration of Intent on the Establishment of the Mechanism of Bilateral Political consultations.
The document was inked here yesterday between H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) and H.E. Jacques Pellet, Ambassador of France to Cambodia.
According to MFAIC, this mechanism aims at reinforcing the cooperation between the two countries based on a long-term friendship and, in particular, between the two Ministries in their capacities as National Coordinators.
The first consultations will take place in Phnom Penh on Feb. 6, pointed out the French Embassy, underlining that this is another important step in strengthening the relationship between Cambodia and France.
