Cambodia, GIZ Sign MoU on “Promoting Sustainability in the Textile and Garment Industry in Asia” Project

Cambodian Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and GIZ have reached a Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of Promoting Sustainability in the Textile and Garment Industry in Asia (FABRIC) project.

The MoU was signed here yesterday between H.E. Mam Vannak, Secretary of State for Labour and Vocational Training and Dr. Guenter Riethmacher, GIZ Cambodia Country Director, under the witness of H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training.

H.E. Ith Samheng expressed his sincere thanks to GIZ for both financial and technical assistance to the ministry and spoke highly of the German government's support for Cambodia, particularly in labour and vocational training sector.

The 6-million-euro FABRIC project will be carried out from April 1, 2019 to Mar. 31, 2021 in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
