Cambodia Holds First-ever Coffee Exhibition

The Cafe Cambodia 2017 and Franchise & Licensing Cambodia 2017, a coffee exhibition, was officially opened yesterday at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre, Phnom Penh.

The opening ceremony of this three-day fair was presided over by H.E. Cham Prasidh, Senior Minister and Minister of Industry and Handicraft.

The exhibitions mark one of largest gathering of visitors from the local business community and the region and members of the coffee industry including baristas, cafe and coffee purveyors, coffee roasters, equipment distributors and members of the public, said Mr. Edward Liu, an organiser of the event.

Speaking after the opening ceremony, H.E. Cham Prasidh said coffee industry in Cambodia has seen substantial progress. Now, Cambodia can produce coffee for local consumption and export, and the well-known brand is Mondulkiri coffee, said H.E. Minister.
