Cambodia Holds the “National Workshop on Logistics Development in Cambodia”

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport in collaboration with some partners, including World Bank and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) hosted here yesterday the “National Workshop on Logistics Development in Cambodia”, said the ministry’s news release.

This national workshop, presided over by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, was aimed at seeking input and guidance for Cambodia’s logistics development in terms of infrastructure and institutional reforms, it pointed out..

In his remarks, it added, H.E. Sun Chanthol laid stress on the Royal Government of Cambodia’s efforts in regards to the development of the country’s logistics and the importance of a multi-modal transport network system which can reduce logistics costs and ensure a reliable link between Cambodia and the rest of the world.

H.E. Sun Chanthol also raised the connection of the railway between Cambodia to Thailand, and the conduct of a feasibility study on waterbus implementation in Phnom Penh,said the news release.
