Cambodia Hosted 2.1 Million International Tourists in First Four Months of 2018

About 2.1 million international tourists visited Cambodia for the first four months of 2018 � an increase of almost 14 percent comparing to the same period last year.

Local media report cited Director of Tourism Ministry’s Statistics and Information Department Mr. Kong Sophearak sharing the update, adding that Chinese visitors outnumbered the rest with the record of 600,000.

According to the director, the season saw slight drop of tourists from other Asian countries including Korea, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam, while there was minor upturn of those from Europe.

To further attract tourists to Cambodia, Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is introducing now eco-tourism products, such as natural resorts, fishing communities, as well as bird and wild animal sanctuaries in the country.

Royal Government of Cambodia is positive that Cambodia will be able to host 6.1 million international tourists throughout 2018.
