Cambodia Hosts a Public Consultation Meeting on Road and Railway Impact Assessment

Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have hosted a public consultation meeting on road and railway impact assessment.

The event took place in Phnom Penh this morning under the presidency of H.E. Sao Sopheap, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment.

This is a public consultation meeting on the draft full environmental impact assessment and initial environmental impact assessment guideline on road and railway to ensure environmental, social and cultural harmonisation and contribute to the sustainable development of Cambodia.

This meeting attracted 74 participants from relevant ministries and institutions, private sector, development partners, and national and international organisations.
