Cambodia Hosts Cambodia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission Meeting

The Meeting of Cambodia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation (ICG) was held here in Phnom Penh this morning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA-IC).

The meeting was co-chaired by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MFA-IC H.E. Prak Sokhonn and visiting H.E Dmitry Kobylkin, Minister of National Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.

The meeting reviewed some key progress achieved in the wake of the 10th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission held on Aug. 23, 2017, set a new course of concrete actions to foster the bilateral partnership, and unlocked potentials of new spheres of cooperation.

Cambodia and Russia have enjoyed their good relations and cooperation since the establishment of their diplomatic ties in 1956. Their traditional relationship is witnessed by the Institute of Technology of Cambodia and the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh and so on.
