Cambodia and Japan will host more events to promote their trade and investment relations, said Ministry of Commerce's news release, after the meeting between H.E. Pan Sorasak, Cambodian Minister of Commerce and ASEAN Economic Minister for Cambodia, and H.E. Hiroyuki Ishige, Chairman of Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), at the JETRO's Head Office in Tokyo last week.
"Both sides agreed to organise more business promotion events for the private sector of the two countries in order to allow business people to exchange business information and experience with each other", it underlined.
On the occasion, it added, H.E. Pan Sorasak and Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige discussed the expansion of existing Japanese companies and a number of investors in Cambodia. They also discussed the ways to mobilise more business and investment projects from Japan and regional countries to the Kingdom.
In addition, H.E. Minister expressed his welcome to the upcoming mission of food industrial sector to be organised by JETRO in Cambodia in the very near future.
H.E. Pan Sorasak paid a visit to Japan to attend the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Road Show held from April 6 to 9 to explore and learn about technologies and innovative solutions from leading Japanese companies.
