Cambodia Organises a Training on Protected Area Zonation

The Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) organised a three-day training on the Use of Decision Supporting System for Protected Areas Zonation.

The training was opened this morning in Siem Reap cultural province under the presidency of H.E. Ms. Ngin Lyna, Director General of Environmental Knowledge and Information.

This training was attended by 21 officials from the stakeholders in the fields of environment and protected area zonation.

Up to now, Cambodia has in total 46 natural protected areas and 3 biodiversity conservation corridors covering more than 7.3 million hectares.
