Cambodia Re-confirms Commitment to Reduce TB Transmission by 80%

Cambodia has re-confirmed its commitment to reduce transmission of tuberculosis by 80 percent between 2016 and 2030.

Health Under Secretary of State H.E. Sear Huong shared the commitment after a recent health workshop organised here in Phnom Penh.

The under secretary of state appreciated current assistance from the Government of India in terms of tuberculosis control, and at the same time encouraged supports from other development partners in the issue.

Royal Government of Cambodia has so far managed to push the tuberculosis treatment services to all health centres across the country and achieved its objective to control the disease in the alignment with the determination articulated in the 2015 millennium development goals of the United Nations.
