Cambodia Reaffirms Support to Japan on International Arenas

As a good and close friend and partner of Japan, Cambodia has expressed her support to Japan on international arenas.

According to a statement of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued at the end of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen’s official working visit in Japan from Aug. 6 to 9, 2017, Cambodia supported Osaka � the second largest metropolitan city of Japan � to host the World Expo in 2025, and Japan’s candidacy as an Executive Board Member of UNESCO for 2017-2019.

During the visit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen re-affirmed Cambodia’s support to Japan’s policy of becoming Proactive Contributor to Peace and the country’s participation in UN peacekeeping operations.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also voiced Cambodia’s support to the Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy initiated by Japan for peace, stability, development, and common prosperity in the region and the world.
